Checking in on the current state of Rocket League esports scene locally. Here some few questions that we will be answering.

What does this mean for the Maltese Rocket League scene?

This means that we’ve got loads of players with amazing potential to become one of the top teams in Europe in the near future. We can only hope that more events happen soon so we get to see these athletes in action.

What do we do as players in the meantime?

Well, currently, every Saturday there’s the CEGZONE online rocket league community cup. If you want to participate click this link below to redirect you to the application page. Link here.

What about Rocket League Internationally and How is it holding up?

Rocket league’s international scene has never been bigger, greater and better. Now we have top tier organizations like Cloud9, TSM and Vitality in the game, which is pretty big for an Esports title which is still in its infancy. Hopefully, in the future, more top tier organizations join in to increase growth, competition, and rivalry. Rocket league has true potential to be one of the best esports titles ever, not only because it is sport based (similar to football) but because of how simple the game is to understand, but also of how hard it is to be really good whilst also being consistent in everything you do.

My name is Nathan Bonello, a Maltese competitive CS:GO player. I'm currently 18 years old, and I've been playing CS for about 2 years now. I used to play handball for the national Maltese team but decided to quit to pursue a career in esports, whether it be the role of a pro player, video editor, caster, observer, manager, coach, etc... I have been casting and video editing for about a year now, and just recently got into in-game observing and working in production. Practically everything esports, I can do.
